“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.” -Sylvia Plath

What they're learnin' me to do in grad school
I made this web tutorial for my User Instruction class. Wrote the script, taught myself how to use the software ('cause, believe it or not, that is something they do NOT teach you in grad school) edited the video, music, and voice... it was fun. Regardless of what I think of the actual class, at least I squeezed a marketable skill out of it. Like juice from a lemon. (Anyway...)

When I first read that you "wrote the script," I was reading too quickly and thought you said that you learned a scripting language. I was dumbfounded. Then I read it again, and it made more sense. Nice job on your video. What software did you use?
Thanks! I used Camtasia for Mac.
We are personally in love primarily for the use of the Lemony Snicket background music. Only a family that has watched the movie at least 30 times can really appreciate that you are just teaching the University of Alabama students how to be like Klaus, if he ever used a computer to do his research.
Yay, Nance, you got it! I've loved that music ever since the first time I saw the film.
well done, pear! way to learn those crimson tide 'bammers how to research! i must admit, i sort of cringed thinking of my research class from grad school where we had to go to the library and do this very thing. not my fav, but a necessary evil. one more great talents added to your arson!
